The selection of photographs below are from my book, Beyond the Shelter.  I chose to document a family in their new home six months after leaving the shelter.  Though they may not be facing homelessness currently, they are still feeling the effects of losing their home.  I captured moments of time with them while they were living their everyday lives.  I offered my assistance with transportation needs, clothing, vehicle repairs, and emotional support.  I hope to encourage an engagement in your own community and provide awareness to the reality of the continued struggles that many families face beyond the shelter.  I used my 35mm camera with black and white film to capture these images.
